Every service below is performed by Jared at Hux Customs in Chubbuck. Each job gets a written quote before work starts — scope, price, and lead time confirmed before you leave the firearm. No surprises.
The flagship service. Full NIC Industries six-step process: disassemble, ultrasonic degrease, aluminum-oxide blast, HVLP spray in the dedicated booth, full oven cure (250 °F metal / 200 °F polymer), reassemble and function test. Solid color, two-tone, splatter or Battleworn — 100+ H-Series and Elite colors available. Hardest, most corrosion-resistant finish available for firearms. Every job photographed at completion.
Stencil-based camo patterns laid over a cured base coat. Multicam, Kryptek Highlander, digital woodland, or a custom schedule you design around your hunt. Idaho sagebrush palette, high-alpine spruce, or desert tan — each pattern discussed and laid out before a trigger is pulled. Edges are masked and blown — no feathering or bleed. Priced on the complexity of the schedule.
Chassis or wood stock, headspaced barrel, receiver lapped and torqued, trigger set to your spec, optic mounted and confirmed. Built to hunt — then Cerakoted in your color before it leaves the booth. Specify your cartridge, intended use, and preferred platform up front and Jared will walk you through the part selection.
Optic cuts (MRDS footprint milled to your dot), slide serrations, threaded barrel fitment, trigger packages. Built for daily carry then Cerakoted — no reason your EDC shouldn't look as good as it functions. Glock, M&P, CZ, 1911 platforms most common. Other pistol platforms on request.
Pistol and rifle barrels threaded for suppressors. Specify your can's thread pitch and we cut to fit — 1/2x28, 5/8x24, 9/16x24, 13.5x1 LH and others on request. Idaho-friendly host gun prep for your suppressor registration. Cerakote the threaded section and cap at the same time to protect the threads.
Lighter pull, cleaner break, shorter reset — no creep. Files and stones on the sear surfaces, polishing the engagement surfaces, setting the weight. Not just drop-in replacement parts (though those are available if preferred). Before and after pull-weight measured and recorded. Pistols, rifles, and bolt-actions.
Red-dot and magnified optic mounting, torqued to spec, co-witness confirmed. Iron sights staked or pressed — no Loctite shortcuts. Night sight installation on pistols (Tritium and fiber-optic). Rings and bases sourced with the install if needed. Every optic job checked for return-to-zero before you leave the counter.
Old shooters brought back to life. Strip the old finish to bare metal, address any surface rust or pitting, Cerakote in original color or a fresh schedule of your choice. Grandfather's elk rifle, an old carry gun with worn bluing — Cerakote outlasts the original finish and costs less than a re-blue. Every restoration photographed before and after.
Full disassembly, factory-level inspection of every component, clean and lube to manufacturer specification. Wear parts identified and replaced as needed — springs, pins, extractors. Function safety check before reassembly. Ideal as pre-season maintenance before elk or deer opener, or for a firearm that hasn't been cleaned in too long.
